Nikita Sheremet Breaks Records at European Swimming Championships
Young swimmer from Odesa, Nikita Sheremet, showcased an incredible performance while representing the national team of Ukraine at the European Swimming Championships, setting a junior world record in the 4x50 freestyle relay final with a time of 20.84 seconds.
This achievement at the Short Course European Championships (25 m) in Lublin continues his record-breaking streak in 2025.
At the Junior World Swimming Championships held in Otopeni, Romania, in August, Nikita won a gold medal in the 50m freestyle event, clocking an impressive time of 21.75, tying with the junior world record set by American swimmer Michael Andrew, while also establishing a new competition record and a national record for Ukraine.
Nikita Sheremet is a product of the Odesa Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve “Dynamo”, where he is coached by Alla Tymofieva and Oleksandra Kurbanova.
