On October 4-5, the city of Brno in the Czech Republic hosted the traditional judo tournament - the European Cup of Hopes, featuring boys and girls under the ages of 13 and 15.

The national team of Ukraine achieved first place overall, winning 26 medals, including 6 golds.

Among the successful participants were athletes from Odesa. Ivan Arsenyuk (coach - Vladislav Bolichevskyi), a student of the Odesa Regional Children's and Youth Sports School for Judo and Rugby, secured a silver medal in the 38 kg category. In the 73 kg category, Oleksandr Severhin from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 4 in Odesa (coach - Oleg Spivak) won a bronze medal.

In specialized extracurricular institutions in Odesa, 144 students are engaged in judo.
