Odesa Grand Prix: A Milestone in Cycling Competitions
On August 31, Odesa hosted the major cycling event Odesa Grand Prix, which has become an integral part of the city's sports history.
This year, the Odesa Grand Prix attracted cycling enthusiasts from Moldova, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Nemyriv, and Zaporizhzhia.
The second day of the competition featured the Odesa Championship in sprint cycling, known for its fierce competition.
Winners in various age categories included Odesa residents: Oleg Ivankov (Atlet CG), Andriy Pyrkh, Yuriy Anderson, Yuriy Smirnov, Andriy Hladkyi, Andriy Shvets, Serhiy Lychko, Hryhoriy Bayrak, Mykola Vakhrameyev, Vladislav Salnikov, Yuriy Smirnov (Project 13), and Hryhoriy Savenko.

The Odesa Grand Prix was first held in 1995 under a cup system. By 2007, it had become a nationwide event, and from 2015 to 2019, it was recognized as an international competition with a UCI category.
