French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot described the meeting held in Paris on April 17 as a significant diplomatic success that brought together American, European, and Ukrainian representatives.

He mentioned this during an interview on LCI, as reported by "European Truth".

Following the meeting, which included delegates from Ukraine, Britain, France, Germany, and the USA, Barrot emphasized that this is undoubtedly a "success in diplomacy" for his country.

"This is an important moment for France, as it is the first time that Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans have gathered at the same table," he stated.

He also highlighted the significance of these meetings, noting that "they contribute to our common goal: peace."

"For this to happen, we need to continue the dialogue. The Americans are eager to end this conflict," he added, asserting that Americans are "listening" and want a ceasefire.

As previously reported, on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron met with a US delegation at the Élysée Palace. There was also a meeting in Paris between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives of France, Germany, and Britain.

US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg stated that the meetings in Paris were "very productive" and shared a photo with President's Office Head Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
