President's Meeting with American Business Leaders

03 July 2025

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a significant meeting with representatives of American businesses, emphasizing the critical role of the USA in the current situation.

This information was confirmed by the Office of the President on July 2, as reported by "European Truth".

Attending the meeting were representatives from companies such as Horizon Capital, Cisco Systems, Unilever, Carlsberg, Avrora Multimarket, Microsoft, KPMG, Winner Imports, Coca-Cola, Cargill, CHS, Citibank, AON, CBRE, OTIS, KBR.

Also present were representatives from Pfizer, Google, Baker Hughes, WTW, Wooden Horse, Parsons Corporation, Visa, AGCO, McDonald’s, Honeywell, ADM, Raytheon, MasterCard, Auterion, CRH, TechMet, Argentem Creek, Boeing, D&M Holding, IBM, Shield AI, and the president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Andriy Gunder.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the American business community for their presence in Ukraine, noting that it signifies stability in the country. He emphasized that Ukraine values the support provided by the USA.

"Signals regarding the reduction of assistance from the USA are something we are not interested in. Neither American businesses nor Ukrainian businesses benefit from such a scenario since Patriot systems protect everyone indiscriminately," the president stated.

Andriy Gunder highlighted Ukraine's resilience during the war and noted that 88 chamber members have relatives serving in the armed forces. He also reported that 53% of companies have suffered damage due to Russian attacks.

"One of the things we always ask the American government for is to provide protection for American businesses here and to supply Patriot missiles," he said.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of continuing support and strengthening Ukraine's air defense systems.

As known, on July 1-2, American media reported that the Pentagon had suspended the delivery of some air defense missiles and precision munitions to Ukraine due to concerns over dwindling U.S. weapon stocks.

Later, President Zelensky stated that Ukraine is "working on" clarifying details regarding military aid from the USA after reports of suspended deliveries.

The WSJ reported that the Trump administration's decision to suspend some military aid to Ukraine concerned weapons already stored in Poland.
