Recognition of the Vietnamese Community's Contribution in Odesa
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, presented the ‘Appreciation’ award to the Ambassador of Vietnam to Ukraine and Moldova, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thach.
During the ongoing war, the Vietnamese community has been actively supporting social initiatives in Odesa and aiding the local zoo.
Thanks to the Ambassador's initiative and the efforts of the Vietnamese community, a new aviary for peacocks has been constructed at the zoo.
“Many Vietnamese have found a home and prosperity in Odesa. When the city provides good conditions for residents, it is only logical that residents take responsibility for its development,” emphasized the Ambassador.
During the event, the Vietnamese community showcased their national traditions and culture.
The Mayor thanked all participants and the Vietnamese people, stressing the importance of caring for our smaller brothers, especially during wartime.
He also mentioned that the restoration of the Odesa Zoo, which began before the invasion, will continue after our Victory.
