Diving as a Path to Recovery: New Opportunities for People with Disabilities
The "Diesel Show" team is actively involved in rehabilitation programs for individuals with disabilities in Odesa.
Diving has become a significant step in the recovery process for people with disabilities.
Underwater, the sensation of weightlessness allows individuals to forget their physical limitations, which is crucial for those who have undergone amputations. The water alleviates pressure on joints and muscles, promoting relaxation while also providing training. Every movement becomes smoother and more controlled, aiding in the restoration of coordination.
"By utilizing resources such as the sea and fresh air, we were able to create favorable conditions for diving training. During one of the dives, the "Diesel Show" team joined us, helping our veterans interact confidently with the instructors", - noted Vasyl Rybak, head of the rehabilitation service of the city health department.
Additionally, the show's artists attended adaptive billiards training sessions.
