Safety Week in Odesa
From April 21 to 25, 2025, educational institutions in Odesa held a Safety Week.
At the Odesa Preschool Education Institution No. 306, a demonstration educational event titled «Smart Caution – The Key to Safety» took place for managers and educators. The event involved specialists from emergency services and patrol police.
For older children, a practical lesson «Intersections. The work of the Traffic Police. Patrol Car Overview» was conducted, while younger and middle groups participated in a thematic mini-lesson titled «Marshal the Dog and His Friends».
During play and activities, the children realized the importance of following safety rules in their daily lives.
As part of the Civil Protection Week, representatives from the Ukrainian Red Cross visited Odesa Lyceum No. 56, where an instructor conducted informative sessions on mine safety for students in grades 7-9. Fourth graders had the chance to learn about the rapid response team's vehicle and operations.
In the Odesa «Maryinsky» Lyceum, 7th-grade students participated in a survey titled «What Do I Know About Civil Protection?». They shared their knowledge about actions in emergencies, safety behavior during dangerous situations, and the importance of civil protection in everyday life.
At Odesa Specialized School No. 32, a representative from the State Emergency Service held informational sessions on fire safety regulations for the spring-summer period, actions in case of explosive objects, and conducted a practical evacuation exercise during an air raid signal.
The Civil Protection Week aimed to raise children's awareness of safety issues and to foster a responsible attitude towards their own lives and those of others.
