New Child Care Center Opens in Bessarabia: A Safe Space for Kids
A new daytime child care center, «Bessarabia Fortress», is set to open in the village of Bessarabia. This center will provide a safe space for children aged 5 to 14 from large, displaced, and vulnerable families, as announced by the Bessarabia village council of the Bolgrad region.
At the center, children will have the opportunity not only to play and learn, but also to work with psychologists and speech therapists, prepare for school, and make new friends—all in a gadget-free environment.
This project is being implemented with the support of the international charity organization SOS Children's Villages Ukraine, as part of the «Emergency Assistance Program» in collaboration with the NGO «Culture of Democracy» and the Bessarabia village social services center.
While children are cared for by educators, parents will have the chance to focus on their own needs—seeking employment, visiting doctors, or addressing other concerns.
Additionally, the center will host special meetings for parents to help them better understand their children, provide support, and build trusting relationships.
«Bessarabia Fortress» is a significant step towards strengthening the community through care for children and their future.
