New Stamp to Support Ukrainian Railways After Cyber Attack
In a show of support for the Ukrainian Railways, which recently fell victim to a major cyber attack, Ukrposhta has unveiled a unique stamp as part of the «Own Stamp» project.
This was announced by Ukrposhta, as reported by a correspondent from the Ukrainian Information Service.
The new stamp, designed by artist Oleksandr Nikitiuk, features the iconic glass in a glass holder — a timeless symbol of train travel. Warm like a summer evening in a compartment and strong like the railway tracks, this stamp reminds us that true traditions cannot be broken by any attack.
While every passenger of the Ukrainian Railways can enjoy the signature glass of tea during their journey, the number of stamps is limited.
100 exclusive sheets featuring the legendary symbol of the Ukrainian Railways will be randomly distributed among passengers who left supportive messages for the railway workers through the feedback form in the app from the moment it was restored after the cyber attack until the return of tickets lost due to the attack.
Each stamp comes with a special bonus — 1440 iron hugs, which is the length of the longest railway route from Zaporizhzhia to Uzhhorod.
As a reminder, «hugs» are bonuses that passengers earn for their trips when purchasing tickets through the Ukrainian Railways app. Therefore, the more kilometers traveled, the more hugs can be exchanged for various bonuses and discounts from the Ukrainian Railways and its partners within the «Iron Friends» loyalty program, which will be relaunched soon.
