Electricity Consumption in Ukraine Continues to Rise

09 April 2025

In Ukraine, electricity consumption has been on the rise for three consecutive days.

This is reported by "Ukrenergo".

According to their data, on April 9 at 9:30 AM, the level of electricity consumption was 1.1% higher than at the same time the previous day — Tuesday.

The company explains that the reason for this is the persistent cold weather across Ukraine, leading to nighttime frosts.

It is noted that on April 8, a daily maximum of consumption was recorded in the evening, which was 2% higher than the maximum of the previous day — Monday, April 7.

"Today, there is a need to continue conserving electricity. Please limit the use of high-power appliances from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM," emphasized "Ukrenergo".

As a reminder:

In Ukraine, due to a significant drop in temperature, as of the morning of April 7, electricity consumption exceeded the level of the previous working day by 16% — April 4.

On April 8, electricity consumption remained high. As of 9:30 AM, the level of electricity consumption was 2.3% higher than at the same time the previous day — Monday.

"Ukrenergo" has denied rumors about a possible return to power outages.
