Today, April 8, around 9:00 AM, a tragic traffic accident took place on the Odesa-Reni highway near the village of Sarata in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. According to the press service of the Odesa Regional Police, preliminary investigations revealed that a 47-year-old woman from the Plakhtiyiv community, driving a Chevrolet sedan towards Sarata, crossed into oncoming traffic where her vehicle collided with a Mercedes truck with a semi-trailer heading towards Odesa. The driver of the sedan was hospitalized but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The truck driver, a 51-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district, will be tested for intoxication. Investigative teams and patrol police are currently working at the scene. Legal qualifications will be determined after clarifying the circumstances.
