Important works are being carried out in Odessa to establish a new source of water supply for its residents. 
In September 2024, construction began on an artesian water well complex near the “Zoryany” cinema, as reported by the Odessa City Council press service. This initiative aims to provide residents of the Peresyp district with an alternative water supply.   The drilling and establishment of the artesian well has been completed, and the perimeter of the sanitary protection zone is fenced with a decorative barrier.   Currently, the contractor is engaged in building the well complex: installing water purification equipment, setting up a technical room for staff, and organizing a water supply distribution point. The roofing of the building is in the final stages. In addition, interior finishing works are ongoing within the technical building of the well complex: wall plastering, floor leveling, and installation of networks and communications, among others. Preparatory landscaping works around the well complex area have also begun. The completion of the well complex construction is planned for the summer of 2025.
