The investigation has concluded, and the driver has been charged. She faces punishment in the form of imprisonment and revocation of her driving privileges.

The accident occurred in one of the villages of the Lyman community.

During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that a 47-year-old woman, while driving a «Chery», was negligent and hit a 15-year-old girl who was crossing the road, although she could have avoided the collision.

As a result of the accident, the girl sustained injuries, including a pelvic fracture, which, according to the expert's conclusion, falls under medium severity bodily harm.

The driver was unharmed and tested for alcohol – she was sober.

The vehicle was seized pending the investigation's conclusion, and a series of expert evaluations were conducted.

According to Eduard Kolomiiets, head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi police department, having collected enough evidence, the police investigators, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, charged the driver with violating traffic safety rules that resulted in medium bodily harm. The indictment has been forwarded to the court.

The driver faces up to three years of imprisonment with a revocation of her driving rights for up to three years.

- in populated areas, the speed limit is 50 km/h;

- the actions of traffic participants should not create dangers for others;

- drivers are required to be attentive and not distracted while driving.
