Law enforcement officials seized dangerous items from illegal circulation, and the offender was charged. He faces a significant prison term.

Police officers documented how a 33-year-old local man sold military supplies twice to an unfamiliar individual. Initially, he sold 50 rounds of ammunition for firearms, followed by three bodies of fragmentation grenades and their fuses.

With the involvement of bomb disposal experts, the dangerous items were seized and sent for examination. Their classification as military supplies was confirmed by the experts’ findings.

Investigators apprehended the suspect procedurally and based on the collected evidence, charged him with illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of military supplies without the required legal permission. This crime is classified under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years.

The court chose to remand the suspect in custody with the option of posting bail set at 60,560 UAH, which he utilized.

Authorities will determine the source of the ammunition during the pre-trial investigation.

The investigation continues under the procedural leadership of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
