Efficient City Public Services Operations

10 March 2025

Every day, around 1200 city public service workers ensure cleanliness in their designated areas. Using both manual labor and specialized equipment, they clean streets, maintain urban communication systems, and take care of green spaces.

In addition to daily cleaning tasks, public service workers perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on the city's stormwater drainage systems and essential hydraulic structures (such as retention ponds along the Romanian Canal, Kuyalnik Canal, etc.).

Starting in the spring, when the weather improves, and continuing through autumn, public service workers clean monuments that are not considered cultural heritage. They also repair and paint these structures as necessary.

In preparation for the fountain season, specialists carry out the unsealing of equipment and its installation.

Landscapers perform tasks such as trimming roses, bushes, and trees. They also seed lawns and maintain flower beds.

Odessa's cemeteries are kept in proper sanitary condition. Public workers remove last year’s leaves, clear overgrowth, and take out trash.

Furthermore, daily cleaning of adjacent territories is conducted. Public service employees eliminate illegal dumps, clean neglected areas, and maintain public spaces.
