Last year, approximately 300 bronchoscopic procedures were conducted in Odesa's medical facilities, leading to the identification of 45 suspected cases of cancer, with patients referred for further examinations and treatments.

Bronchoscopy is a crucial procedure for examining the trachea and bronchi using an endoscope, aiding in the early detection of respiratory organ cancers. It is advisable for individuals over 50 to undergo this procedure routinely, even without any complaints.

This procedure is part of the state medical guarantee program and is performed free of charge with a referral from a family doctor or treating physician, particularly for patients receiving inpatient care.

New bronchoscopic equipment has been purchased for Odesa's healthcare facilities. Patients can access free bronchoscopy by appointment at the following addresses:
