Collaboration with Humanitarian Organizations in Odesa
In Odesa, an effective framework for collaboration with international humanitarian organizations has been developed to respond swiftly to the consequences of enemy attacks. Acting Mayor Oleksandr Filatov shared this during a coordination meeting organized by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The meeting included representatives from UN agencies and international NGOs working in the region, humanitarian advisor Veronika Etnarovich, the director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy Olena Kytainska, and the director of the Health Department Levon Nikogosyan.
«Right now, in the Khadzhibey district of the city, municipal workers are actively dealing with the aftermath of last night’s attack. Nearby, staff from international humanitarian organizations and charities are assisting local authorities and those affected. We appreciate this crucial cooperation», emphasized Oleksandr Filatov.
Oleksandr Filatov also presented the current needs and priorities of the city of Odesa for 2025.
Additionally, the parties discussed the issue of aid delivery from international partners in the upcoming year.
