Strategic Planning Session for Southern Ukraine's Development

A strategic session focusing on the development of southern regions of Ukraine took place in Odessa.

The event was chaired by Alexey Ryabikin, Deputy Minister for Community and Territorial Development.

Anna Pozdnyakova, the Deputy Mayor of Odessa, also participated.

«Today’s discussion aims at planning a future that considers the needs of the people and the potential of the regions. Integrating local plans into the national development strategy is crucial for creating synergy in the recovery of the country», — stated Alexey Ryabikin.

During the session, participants discussed key issues facing the regions and identified priority areas for their resolution.

For the Odessa region, emphasis was placed on the development of transportation and logistics infrastructure, the agricultural sector, ensuring energy resilience, and modernizing the port industry.

Significant attention is also devoted to upgrading social infrastructure, education, supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), accessibility, and social cohesion.

«Odessa remains a stronghold of resilience and development even in the toughest times. We are focusing our efforts on infrastructure modernization, community support, and strengthening energy security. Strategic planning is not just about the future, but about our ability to adapt to present challenges and create a solid foundation for the recovery and prosperity of our region», - noted Anna Pozdnyakova.
