New Pedestrian Crossings in Odesa
Odesa has recently added 7 new pedestrian crossings that are fitted with modern LED lighting. They are located at the following addresses:
- 55 Sim'yi Glodan St. (Ilfa and Petrov);
- 24 Architectorska St.;
- 44/1 Yevhena Chykalenka St. (Ak. Williams) - Officer St.;
- 178/1 Yevhena Chykalenka St. (Ak. Williams);
- Melnytska St. - Mykhailivska St.;
- Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St. - Prokhorivskyi Lane;
- 15 Starosinna Square.
Experts from the Municipal Enterprise “SMEP” continue to work on ensuring road safety. As of January 1, 2024, there are 75 uncontrolled pedestrian crossings with LED lighting under the management of the Municipal Enterprise “SMEP.”
These LED lighting systems significantly improve pedestrian visibility during twilight and nighttime, allowing drivers to notice pedestrians more easily on the roadway and greatly enhancing the safety of all road users.
