New Measures for Road Protection Against Snow Drifts in Odesa
On crucial highway sections in Odesa, which hold significant economic and logistical importance, a new snow drift protection system is being established.
According to the Infrastructure Recovery and Development Service in Odesa, this initiative aims to prevent snowdrifts from forming.
The agency explained that snow protection is achieved using various structures, including snow isolation, snow prevention, and snow retention facilities.
Snow isolation structures are specialized protective galleries designed to safeguard mountainous roads.
Snow prevention fences are utilized in areas prone to heavy snow transport and strong winds blowing directly across the roadway.
The Recovery Service added that an analytical-monitoring center operates around the clock in Odesa, monitoring road conditions and responding promptly.
