Yesterday in the Odesa region, a tragic incident occurred: two women were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning, while a man unfortunately lost his life. This was reported on October 19 by the State Emergency Service of Odesa.
According to rescuers, the incident happened on October 18 in the town of Ananyiv in the Podilskyi district. Both women, born in 1973 and 1979, were admitted to the hospital in critical condition. The body of a man born in 1970 was also found in the apartment with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
During the inspection of the premises, rescuers found no signs of fire or burning. Preliminary data suggests that the cause of poisoning was a leak of carbon monoxide due to a lack of draft in the heating system, the State Emergency Service noted.
