Yesterday in Odesa, SES personnel responded to two unusual calls. During the day, they rescued a dog that had fallen into a pit and later helped a cat that was stuck in a tree. Fortunately, both animals were unharmed. This was reported on Saturday, October 18, by the Main Department of SES in the Odesa region.

The first incident occurred during the day on the 19th kilometer of the Starokyivska road. The dog had fallen into a deep pit and could not get out on its own. Rescuers, using a rope and a ladder, descended and carefully lifted the animal to the surface. Thankfully, the dog was uninjured and quickly recovered from the stress.

The second call came in the evening — this time from Leontovych Street. Local residents reported that a cat had been sitting high up in a tree for several hours, meowing and too frightened to come down. Rescuers reached the animal with a ladder and returned it to its owners.
