New Electronic Warfare System for Vehicle Protection
The Ukrainian company TAF Industries has introduced an innovative electronic warfare system known as "Quasar-A" aimed at safeguarding armored vehicles and automobiles. The company shared details about this new product in their post.
TAF Industries describes the Quasar-A system as an effective countermeasure against kamikaze drones and multi-rotor UAVs. Key features of the system include:
- 360° coverage with a range of up to 300 meters;
- Interference with control and video transmission channels;
- 5 channels with 100 Watts each;
- Any frequency bands can be selected.
The Quasar-A creates an active jamming field, blocking control and video transmission. It features magnetic mount antennas and can be deployed in just 5 minutes. It operates in rain, dust, and frost, with an IP66 rating and autonomy of up to 2 hours. "Quasar-A" maintains the defensive line, protecting the crew and saving lives." the video from TAF Industries states.
Additionally, in September, TAF Industries announced the codification of the FPV drone Kolibri 13-O with a fiber-optic communication channel. This drone is an enhanced version of the standard Kolibri model, specifically designed for operations in dense electronic warfare environments. The manufacturer notes that the new version has features that make the UAV a "cheat code" on the battlefield.
