In Odesa, at 54 Akademika Zabolotnoho Street, restoration work is in progress for an apartment building that suffered from aggression by Russia on January 1, 2024. The attack resulted in damage to the roof and utility systems.
The damaged parts of the roof were promptly dismantled, and efforts to mitigate the consequences of the attack were initiated. “The project includes the restoration of technical rooms, the attic, the machinery room, ventilation ducts, as well as the roof of this building,” emphasized Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Urban Development.
Currently, specialists have nearly completed the restoration of the elevator room and reinforced the metal frameworks. Roofing work is ongoing.
