Restoration of Residential Complex in Odesa After Flooding
Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov visited the residential complex located at 32 Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue following an invitation from the residents of the HOA «White House».
On September 30, 2025, during severe weather, the parking lot of this complex was completely flooded, damaging the electrical, water, heating systems, and the fire safety system of the 24-story building.
At the request of the mayor, energy companies managed to temporarily restore electricity to the building while the essential systems are being repaired.
«We are sincerely grateful to the construction company “Stikon”, which stepped in and purchased electrical equipment for our building at its own expense. Pumps are currently being installed to restore water supply to the upper floors. I am assured, and I sincerely hope, that water will return to the residents by Thursday. However, full restoration of heating and fire safety systems will take more time», — noted Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The building at 32 Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue was damaged during an enemy attack in February this year. A children’s clinic was also vandalized, and a kindergarten was destroyed. Currently, the projects for the restoration of these two facilities are undergoing expert evaluation. The demolition of the old kindergarten is ongoing, and a new one is set to be built in its place.
