Odesa Branch Participates in BALTEXPO 2025
The leadership of the Odesa Branch of the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» participated in the BALTEXPO 2025 international maritime and military exhibition in Gdansk, Poland.
During a round table with maritime and port industry representatives, Dmitry Nazarenko, head of the Odesa Branch, presented a report on the activities of Ukrainian ports in wartime conditions.
He informed that since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, over 500 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged or destroyed, 116 civilian vessels were affected, 157 civilians were injured, and directly in the Odesa Sea Port, 161 facilities were damaged.
Special attention was given to the Ukrainian corridor, which since August 2023 has allowed the ports of Greater Odesa to handle over 146.5 million tons of cargo and process 5596 vessels, including 1528 in the Odesa port.
Despite all challenges, Ukrainian seaports remain an integral part of the country’s economic resilience. Their security is not just a logistics issue but a matter of survival for Ukraine’s export model, emphasized Dmitry Nazarenko.
The event also showcased the infrastructure projects of the Odesa port and plans for their further implementation. Nazarenko invited international investors to collaborate.
