In Odesa, 25 critical intersections have been identified that significantly impact road safety.

During power outages, the municipal enterprise «SMEP» collaborates with the Patrol Police to monitor the functionality of traffic lights.

All key intersections are equipped with large uninterruptible power supplies that allow traffic lights to operate autonomously for 4 to 8 hours when fully charged.

If necessary, the «SMEP» replaces batteries, and in emergencies, works with the Department of Transport and Traffic Organization to connect generators to keep traffic lights operational.

During battery replacements and generator connections, the Patrol Police manage traffic at intersections.

Drivers are urged to stay alert and adhere to traffic regulations.
