Incredible Rescue of a Sailor in Odesa
Three hours adrift: at the 16th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa, an astounding rescue of an Irish sailor took place, whose story could have ended tragically. A weakened man was pulled from the sea after managing to swim ashore following a fall from a vessel. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
The individual was identified as a 27-year-old Irish citizen, a sailor of a private ship. According to him, he fell overboard and fought against the waves for over 3 hours before reaching the breakwater, where rescuers spotted him.
Medical personnel diagnosed him with severe hypothermia. The man was promptly hospitalized.
