Saving Kuyalnik: An Ecological Initiative
The Kuyalnik National Nature Park has launched a new initiative aimed at drawing public attention to the dangers threatening Kuyalnik Liman.
This information is reported by the State Ecological Inspection of the Southwestern District.
On September 12, participants of the initiative discussed several crucial ecological issues, including the increasing mineralization of the water, the need for cleaning the liman from salts, and the risk of losing the unique ecosystem.
Representatives of the State Ecological Inspection, including the deputy head and the head of the water resources department, gave an interview to the channel «We-Ukraine». They discussed the identified violations of environmental legislation in the liman area and the measures being taken for its protection.
The ecological inspection urged residents of the region to be conscious and responsible: to avoid polluting the water protection zones and to report any violations to the administration of the Kuyalnik National Nature Park or to the ecological inspection.
