President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the establishment of a new holiday — the Day of Electronic Warfare Troops, which will be celebrated every year on September 12.

This was stated by Zelensky during his address.

The document notes that this holiday is introduced "to promote national military traditions, considering the role of electronic warfare troops in countering and deterring armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as for protecting critical infrastructure objects".

The decree came into effect on the day of its publication.

Zelensky also congratulated the military on their professional holiday, emphasizing that electronic warfare soldiers "work unnoticed but very professionally to protect Ukraine".

Thank you each and every one of you for this immensely important work. You save lives daily and strengthen our army. We will always remember and be grateful to those who gave their lives in this war.
