Ukrainian Innovations Showcase at CEATEC-2024
The 25th anniversary exhibition of advanced technologies, CEATEC-2024, was held in Chiba, Japan.
This year, for the second consecutive time, Ukrainian companies showcased their technological advancements at the largest international exhibition in Asia. The Odesa City Council delegation presented a unified stand featuring Ukrainian innovations in the IT sector. Tamila Afanaseva, director of the "Odesa 5T Grant Office," introduced developments from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Sciences at the International Humanitarian University.
Moreover, the Odesa delegation participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in their sister city, Yokohama. The conference gathered global leaders in urban development, prominent figures, and innovators in technological advancement. During their stay in Japan, the Odesa delegation held official meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, local council leadership, and also met with the Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan.
Additionally, working negotiations were conducted with representatives from the Yokohama municipal government, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Program's Japanese office. Priority infrastructure projects for Odesa were discussed alongside several Japanese technology companies, including Nippon Koei and JFE Engineering. Furthermore, discussions took place with members of the National Commission of Japan for UNESCO regarding the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites.
Representatives from Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom and their openness to collaborate with the Odesa community. Together, we are bringing Victory closer!
