A civilian vessel exploded in the Black Sea near Odesa due to an unidentified explosive device.

This was reported by the spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, in a comment to Suspilne.

The spokesman noted that no crew members were injured. Currently, an inspection of the vessel is underway, and it is likely to continue its journey under its own power.

"We are doing everything necessary to ensure a safe level of civilian shipping. However, despite this, such incidents may sometimes occur," Pletenchuk stated.
