From August 15 to September 30, a ban on catching river crayfish will be in effect in the Odessa region due to their second molting. This restriction has been implemented to protect the population of these aquatic inhabitants.

This information is reported by the press service of the Odessa fish protection patrol.

During the ban, fishermen who illegally catch crayfish may face administrative or criminal liability and be required to compensate damages — 3,332 hryvnias for each illegally caught crayfish.
