Municipal Services in Odesa During Bad Weather
Rain, wind, and fallen leaves are adding extra tasks for municipal workers. Employees are actively engaged in cleaning the streets of the city.
In Odesa, 8 crews from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» are on duty, ensuring the free drainage of rainwater. Workers are clearing storm drain grates of fallen foliage and debris washed in by rainwater.
Today, 46 units of special equipment and 328 employees are involved in the operations.
Cleaning of drainage systems is carried out regularly both manually and with heavy equipment, including excavators with special attachments, graders, and high-pressure hydraulic systems for flushing pipes.
Employees of the «Housing and Communal Services» are also engaged in clearing storm drain grates near buildings, sweeping, and removing fallen leaves and trash, maintaining order in their areas.
About 180 workers from the «City Green Trust» maintain cleanliness in the city’s green spaces daily. Due to bad weather, 3 trees have already fallen, and many small branches have broken off.
Greenkeepers are working on cutting up and removing fallen trees and branches, as well as sweeping and collecting fallen leaves from parks and squares.
