Border guards thwarted an unusual escape attempt by a man seeking to leave Ukraine via a paramotor.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service on Telegram.

According to the service: "A 48-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi purchased a paramotor online for 500 euros. He chose a field near the border for his attempt and planned to fly without any documents, relying solely on his instincts."

Border guards from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi unit stopped him before he could take off.

"The violator has been detained and is facing administrative charges," the SBGS concluded.
