Fire Incident in Odesa: Residents and Pets Rescued

Last night, a fire erupted in a residential area of Odesa, in the village of Lymanka, on the 13th floor of a 16-story building.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.

Rescuers used ladders to evacuate 23 residents and saved 3 dogs. The fire covered an area of 50 square meters.

Due to heavy smoke, firefighters operated with breathing and vision protection equipment. A smoke release device was used for quick ventilation of the premises. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are currently being determined.

Nine units of equipment and 29 firefighters were involved from the State Emergency Service.
