Fire Breaks Out in Odesa Region: Incident Details
A fire broke out on private property in the Odesa region. Trucks, buses, garbage, and dry grass were engulfed in flames. During an attempt to extinguish the fire independently, a woman was injured and hospitalized. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.
The incident took place on July 24 in the village of Sukhy Lyman. On Naberezhna Street, a fire ignited abandoned vehicles and construction waste. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, preventing their spread to a nearby residential building.
“As a result of the fire, 5 buses were destroyed, and 1 truck was damaged. During the self-extinguishing attempt, a woman born in 1945 suffered burns and was hospitalized in serious condition. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated. The State Emergency Service deployed 3 units of equipment and 10 firefighters, while the Citizen Safety Center 'Avangard' sent 1 unit and 3 personnel,” the statement said.
