Starlink Restores Service After Outage
The Starlink satellite internet network has successfully resumed its operations after a major outage lasting about two and a half hours, which impacted communication stability, particularly in active combat zones.
This was reported by the company’s vice president, Michael Nichols, on social media platform X, along with the commander of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdi, known as "Madyar".
Nichols stated: "The outage was caused by the failure of critical internal software services that support the core network operation. We apologize for the temporary service interruption; we are committed to ensuring a highly reliable network and will fully resolve this issue to prevent it from happening again".
According to Brovdi, communication was restored across all fronts approximately between 00:35 and 01:05.
He also emphasized that during the outage, combat operations continued without broadcasts, including reconnaissance using strike assets.
Commander Madyar noted: "Combat operations were conducted without broadcasts; reconnaissance was performed on strike assets. This incident lasting a lengthy 150 minutes during the war highlights communication bottlenecks that need to be addressed and diversified".
