Innovative Defense Solutions: Odd Systems Partners with Terma Group

21 July 2025

The Ukrainian company Odd Systems has announced a significant partnership with the Danish defense giant Terma Group to jointly develop affordable AI-based interceptor drones.

The press release highlighted that the main challenge for interceptor drones lies in the integration of detection, tracking, and intercepting hostile UAVs using autonomous systems.

The types of Russian drones that need to be countered vary significantly, ranging from FPV and tactical drones like the Mavic to fixed-wing operational UAVs like Zala and long-range strike drones like Shahed.

"Terma and Odd Systems will combine their existing solutions while developing a comprehensive product suite to counter these and other aerial threats," noted Odd Systems.

Odd Systems is a defense technology firm headquartered in Kyiv, specializing in the development and production of thermal cameras and FPV drones.

They supply the FPV interceptor platform Horskaya-12, along with strike FPV platforms "Stus-7" and "Lupinis-10". The company also designs and manufactures thermal cameras Kurbas-256 and Kurbas-640 for FPV drones in Ukraine.

Terma A/S is the largest Danish manufacturer of defense and aerospace products for both civilian and military applications. The company offers radar systems, avionics, and space electronics, and is also a supplier for F-35 components.

Recently, the Director of the Defense Procurement Agency, Arsen Zhumadilov, stated that the agency has contracted tens of thousands of interceptor drones.
