Enhanced Monitoring of Cargo Carriers in Southern Ukraine

20 July 2025

New measures for monitoring cargo carriers have been implemented in southern Ukraine.

This was reported through official channels by Ukrtransbezpeka on social media.

In response to the rising risk of road accidents and the harvest season, Ukrtransbezpeka has ramped up efforts to detect violations in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.

To enhance control, additional inspectors have been sent from other regions of Ukraine.

“The full-scale invasion has significantly altered the country's logistics routes. Currently, all logistics to the ports pass through the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions. Our goal is to preserve the roads and significantly reduce repair costs. I urge carriers to comply with weight and dimension regulations to avoid hefty fines,” emphasized the head of Ukrtransbezpeka, Nikita Lagunin.

During these intensified measures, monitoring is conducted around the clock on specific road segments. Inspectors pay special attention to compliance with weight standards and drivers' work and rest regimes.

The control measures are coordinated with the Odessa and Mykolaiv regional state administrations and supported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
