New Citizenship Legislation in Ukraine
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a new law on Tuesday that addresses the issues of multiple citizenship.
This was reported by Zelensky himself.
He pointed out that the law, approved by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, includes significant changes regarding the acquisition and retention of Ukrainian citizenship.
"Through multiple citizenship, we will be able to establish stronger legal foundations for the unity of our great nation – millions of Ukrainians across all continents, as well as those from other nations who have linked their fate to Ukraine", he emphasized.
According to the president, Ukraine can now begin identifying the first partner states where multiple citizenship will be implemented.
