Elon Musk announced via social media platform X that he is forming a new political party in the United States called the "American Party". This initiative aims to provide an alternative to the conventional two-party system. Business figures such as billionaire Mark Cuban and investor Anthony Scaramucci have publicly expressed their support for this venture. This is reported by Engadget.

Cuban, who reacted to Musk's post with joyful emojis, noted that he is collaborating with the Center for Competitive Democracy and is ready to assist the new party in getting on the ballots.

Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House Communications Director under Trump in 2017, offered to meet with Musk to discuss next steps. Both businessmen have previously supported Kamala Harris.

Musk stated that his "American Party" aims to secure 2-3 seats in the Senate and 8-10 districts in the House of Representatives. It remains unclear whether the political entity has been officially registered, as some mentions in the Federal Election Commission appear questionable and coexist with humorous names like "DOGE Party" and "American Meme Party".
