Fire Breaks Out in Odesa Region: Two Injured
A roof of a residential house in the Odesa region has caught fire. Two individuals sustained burns to their faces and hands while attempting to extinguish the flames themselves and were subsequently hospitalized. This was reported by the emergency services.
The incident occurred on July 5, during the day, in the Izmail district, specifically in the village of Stari Troiany on Shkilna Street, where the roof of the house and an outbuilding were ablaze. Firefighters rapidly extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 60 square meters.
"Unfortunately, during the attempt to put out the fire independently, a man born in 1959 and a woman born in 1954 sustained burns and were hospitalized in moderate condition. The cause of the fire and damages are being investigated. One unit of equipment and three firefighters were involved from the emergency services, and one unit of equipment and two personnel from the local fire team", the statement reads.
