Revamping of Berths in the Port of Reni: Safety and Modernization
The Port of Reni has begun the renovation of four berths aimed at improving their safety and functionality.
The Reni branch of the State Enterprise «Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine» announced the refurbishment of berths No. 15, No. 23, No. 26, and No. 27. A contractor was selected through the Prozorro system, with a total project cost of 12.1 million UAH.
This initiative is necessitated by the significant physical wear of the infrastructure, as most of the structures have been in use since the 1960s to 1980s. Technical inspections conducted in 2024 revealed serious defects such as cracks, deformations, and metal corrosion, posing risks to berthing safety.
The project encompasses the repair and reinforcement of structures, replacement of damaged metal elements, updating of mooring bollards and gangways, installation of new protective devices, and marking in accordance with current standards.
The work is being carried out without interrupting port operations and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
