Inclusive Beach in Odessa Prepares for Summer Season

12 April 2025

The representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Odessa region, Maria Popova, checked on the preparations for the inclusive beach at Dolphin ahead of the summer season.

Currently, work is underway to install access paths, and all recreational areas are being inspected regularly: officials along with experts from the Barrier-Free Council, which includes veterans and people with disabilities, are visiting these locations.

Maria Popova confirmed that the preparations are proceeding properly, and the city will fully ensure the functioning of the beach, including water supply, sewage, and other essential services.

“If there are no obstacles to its opening, we expect the newly updated inclusive beach to be launched,” stated the representative of the Commissioner.

The head of the Primorsky district administration, Marat Korolev, noted that another inclusive beach is being prepared for opening this season at the 11th station of the Great Fountain, with ongoing renovation and accessibility adjustments.

All issues regarding the preparation of inclusive locations, including beaches, are under the personal control of the mayor, Gennady Trukhanov.

It is worth noting that 2025 has been declared the Year of Barrier-Free in Odessa.
