Border Guards Honored for Bravery
Members of the Izmail border guard unit were awarded prestigious church honors for their bravery and dedication to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The church medals of Saint George the Victorious were presented to the military personnel of the rapid response border command of the Izmail unit.
By the blessing of His Beatitude the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Military Chaplain Father Makarii conducted the awarding ceremony at the Church of Saint Prince Volodymyr in Izmail. He presented the honors to the servicemen who demonstrated courage and selflessness in defending Ukraine.
«The medal of Saint George the Victorious is a spiritual sign of support, prayer, and blessing. Accept these awards with gratitude for your resilience, courage, and self-sacrifice. May the Lord protect you in service and grant you strength to overcome all challenges,» — the chaplain addressed the servicemen.
