New Opportunities for Veterans: Training and Support

Where to find opportunities for education and skill development to start your own business, how to engage in leisure activities, and where to seek psychological or legal support - learn about this and much more from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund's latest information collection.

During the state of war, military personnel and combat veterans are exempt from paying interest on loans. How to take advantage of this benefit is explained by lawyers from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.

EPAM invites Ukrainian veterans to a special program to help them acquire new IT skills and gain the knowledge necessary to start a career in IT.

The training begins in October 2024 (registration is open until spots are filled). Group size is limited to 50 participants. The training language is Ukrainian. The program is free for all participants, with classes held online three times a week (lectures, practical sessions, task discussions, and Q&A). More details and registration.

The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched an educational series called “Grants for Veterans”. This series teaches veterans and their families how to obtain grants for starting or developing their own businesses. In 11 episodes lasting 10-15 minutes each, KSE experts discuss the specifics of popular grant programs: participant requirements, potential funding amounts, job creation obligations, and whether the funds need to be repaid; how to form a business idea and write a business plan, as well as budgeting and interview preparation for the Employment Center. Superhumans is assembling an orchestra of veterans with prosthetics to once again demonstrate to the world the strength, resilience, and talent of Ukrainians even in dark times. They invite veterans with prosthetics or musicians who have lost limbs due to the war but have successfully returned to playing any musical instrument after rehabilitation. Details.
