New Inclusive Beach Opens in Odesa
On July 1, 2025, an inclusive beach was inaugurated at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa. This initiative marks a significant step towards developing a barrier-free environment for veterans, people with disabilities, and others with mobility challenges.
The inclusive beach serves as a prime example of how spaces can be adapted for diverse needs. This was stated by Tatiana Lomakina, the President's Advisor on Barrier-Free Issues, following her visit to Odesa. She praised the city's efforts in creating a beach that meets accessibility standards.
“Step by step, the coastline is becoming a barrier-free area. The beach rarely goes empty; it attracts both locals and visitors,” said the President's Advisor on Barrier-Free Issues.
