Residents of Odesa are invited to join the Global Cleanup Day. From August 20 to September 20, 2025 events will be held across Ukraine as part of this global initiative. All activities will be organized in compliance with safety regulations during the state of war.

The aim of the Global Cleanup Day is to foster a national culture of cleanliness, responsible waste management, and care for the environment. This initiative also promotes volunteering and engages people in socially beneficial activities.

The national youth movement Let’s do it Ukraine encourages all citizens of Ukraine, both within and outside the country, to participate in one of the safe formats and to register their results.

“In a country facing the daily consequences of war, every good deed holds special significance. Cleaning is not just about caring for the environment but also about the future of our children and the country we are rebuilding together,” noted Yuliya Marchel, coordinator of the Global Cleanup Day in Ukraine.

Participation formats for the Global Cleanup Day - 2025:

• traditional cleanups — cleaning in parks, recreational areas, and educational institutions, either individually or in groups, ensuring safety;
• digital cleanup — deleting unnecessary information from devices and emails to reduce digital footprints: letsdoitukraine.org/digitalcleanup;
• recycling participation — joining the project «Find. Sort. Deliver» and contributing data to the national recycling points map: recyclingpoints.org;
• Ukrainians abroad can organize cleanups online or offline, thanking host cities and supporting Ukraine from afar. Registration of results is mandatory.

The national online briefing for Global Cleanup Day coordinators will take place online on September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, broadcasted on our page.

Every completed form brings Ukraine closer to higher positions in the global environmental responsibility ranking among 211 participating countries.

The public organization Let’s do it Ukraine expresses sincere gratitude for the support of the Global Cleanup Day 2024, which saw participation from 404,121 volunteers across 24 regions. Together, we cleaned 26,232 locations. According to international rankings, Ukraine surpassed 200 countries, placing 11th worldwide among 211 participating countries.
